In order to receive DMTLC health services, clients must be eligible for Medicaid with some requirements: Clients must be enrolled in the Program for the All-inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) must access home health services through PACE. Clients who have elected hospice care must access home health services through the hospice benefit. However, children under age 21 who are receiving concurrent curative treatment with hospice care may receive home health services related to the curative treatment. What payment options are available?
Medicaid
Medicaid provides health coverage to millions of Americans, including eligible low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults, and people with disabilities. Medicaid is administered by the state of Texas, according to federal requirements. The program is funded jointly by the state of Texas and the federal government.
Private Pay
Your loved one may have savings or supplementary income available that can help pay for home care, assisted living, or nursing home care. Sometimes, family members may contribute to the cost of care for their loved one.
Veteran’s Aid & Attendance Pension Benefit
Eligible veterans and surviving spouses may be eligible for health care expenditures. We can help you evaluate this option to see if your loved ones qualify, and if so, apply for this little-known benefit.
